Sun Microsystems has announced their Open Source Community Innovation Awards Program which will offer cash awards to developers on given projects such as GlassFish, NetBeans, OpenJDK, OpenOffice.org, OpenSolaris, and OpenSPARC. The total awards amount on an annual basis is expected to be at least $1,000,000.
