Live video in a 3D world is cool, and it's not even Google
A company called Sentinel, based in El Segundo, California and founded in 2005 by computer science and electrical engineering professors at the University of Southern California has, with funding by the U.S. Defense Department developed a program which takes video survelliance camera recordings and fuses them together to produce live pictures - a demo is on the site and you need to see this to believe it.
